21 and counting…

Today is Pat and I 21st wedding anniversary! Sometimes I wonder how did we get this far? 21 years?? Who stays married that long?? We were really still children when we married. I had only JUST turned 18!

Here’s what I know so far about MARRIAGE:

1. You better like the person as well as love them

2.If you haven’t mastered the art of compromise, hang it up

3.It’s amazing how much better it works when God is first

4.Never call each other bad words

5.Expect there will be crappy times–ride it out–the good ones are around the bend

6. Don’t forget you are an individual too

7.Let each other experience their dreams

9. Don’t forget to laugh

10. Let money be truly shared. When you divide up his and mine, you don’t invest fullyP1010997

Longevity in marriage seems to have become the exception to the rule.
Happy Anniversary you rule breakers, and best wishes for many, many more.

Hey, great photo you kids! I’ve been married to my highschool sweetheart for 34 years now. We got married when we were just 16 – gulp! What were we thinking? It all worked out. Who knew?
Wishing you many more years of happiness.
