I jumped back into swapping again on Splitcoast. It’s a twinchie by theme swap. These are my tribute to the domestic divas of the fifties.

Green zentangle

December 7, 2009

The zentangle on the left is for a swap on swap-bot. The zentangle had to have something green….the ink, background, etc. As I created she looked like a mermaid from behind. The birdie on the right is a Tim Holtz stamp and I drew the branch and flowers.  I am a real newbie with zentangles, but it’s fun!

I was inspired to make this page after visiting the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.

I used the pamphlets that the museum passed out

Think the scan shaved a bit off the edges, but you get the idea….

Kermie and Dorothy

I have ALWAYS wanted to go to the Smithsonian museums and while we didn’t see them all, we did get to go to The American History and The Natural History Museums. Here is a bit of the “lighter” side of history.

It's Kermit the Frog and me!

History adventure

December 1, 2009

Hi gang! Been a bit since I have posted, but I just returned from Washington D.C. and thought I would share a bit with you. It was a great trip-first time in the nation’s capitol.  We toured the monuments on the first day….tremendous amount of walking! I was a bit caught off guard at the the emotions some of the monuments stirred.
